Point Reyes National Seashore

Point Reyes National Seashore protects a wide coastal landscape of headlands, beaches, grasslands and forest west of Point Reyes Station.

Its separate visitor areas support many kinds of outdoor trips, from shorter viewpoints to substantial hikes.
Use National Park Service maps and current conditions to choose a specific entrance and route. Roads, beaches and trails can have different closures, wildlife restrictions and tide considerations. The photograph shows the Chimney Rock area rather than the whole seashore. A visit to one viewpoint does not imply that distant beaches or longer routes are nearby or equally accessible.
