- Lancaster Township
President James Buchanan’s Wheatland preserves the former president’s home on the LancasterHistory campus in Lancaster Township.

Reserve a timed house-tour ticket in advance, as walk-in places are not guaranteed. Museum-exhibition-only admission does not include entry to Wheatland. Allow time to consider the wider historical context presented by LancasterHistory, including the limits and consequences of presidential decisions. Research-center visits and special seasonal tours have separate booking arrangements from a standard house tour.
