Rancho Los Alamitos brings a historic ranch house, gardens, barnyard and cultural interpretation together in Long Beach.

The site connects the Tongva village of Puvuu’nga with later ranching and family histories, while mature trees and layered garden designs shape the outdoor visit.
Admission and parking are free during published afternoon hours. Approach through the Bixby Hill security gate and tell the attendant you are visiting the Rancho. House interiors are available by docent-guided tour, while groups of ten or more need advance arrangements. Photography is allowed on the grounds but not inside the ranch house.
Visitor details reviewed October 27, 2026. Consult primary place information for background, and confirm current access and operating arrangements before visiting. View on OpenStreetMap.
