Savannas Preserve State Park protects a long freshwater marsh landscape along Florida's Treasure Coast.

Its wetlands and surrounding habitats offer opportunities to observe wildlife and learn about an ecosystem that once extended much farther along the coast. The Port St. Lucie visitor access is on Southeast Walton Road.
Check the park's current access notices before choosing a trail or paddling route. The Sun Trail is not yet open while construction and repairs continue, so do not plan a visit around that route. Bring water and insect protection, respect wildlife, and use designated access points rather than entering marsh habitat away from marked routes.
