Sheboygan Indian Mound Park preserves a wooded Indigenous burial-mound landscape within the city.

The surviving earthworks provide a place to reflect on communities whose history long predates modern Sheboygan.
The photograph shows mounds beneath the trees. Use designated paths and current interpretive guidance, remembering that this is a burial place as well as a public park. Do not climb, dig, collect objects or disturb the ground. Seasonal leaves and vegetation affect visibility, so allow time for careful observation rather than expecting reconstructed buildings or an indoor museum.
