The Soldiers and Sailors Monument stands at the center of Indianapolis as a memorial to Indiana service members.

Sculpture groups and the figure of Victory form part of an elaborate limestone landmark that can be appreciated from Monument Circle.
The observation level follows a limited opening schedule and requires a ticket. Check current hours and access before planning to go up. Visitors must climb exterior steps and additional stairs above the elevator, so the elevator does not provide a step-free route to the view. The photograph shows the monument in its city setting. A walk around the exterior and an observation-level visit are different experiences.
