South Oakdale Historic District preserves a residential streetscape associated with Medford’s growth in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

Queen Anne houses, Craftsman influences and later revival styles give the neighborhood considerable architectural variety.
The photograph shows the actual Beeson House within the district. Use National Register documentation to plan an exterior walk along public sidewalks. The houses remain occupied, and historic designation does not provide general entry to porches, gardens or interiors. Arrange any announced local-history tour separately. Respect residents’ privacy, keep driveways clear and check current street conditions before exploring.
