Sutro Baths preserves the concrete ruins of a former seaside bathing complex at San Francisco’s Lands End.

Pools, channels and foundations remain beside the Pacific, allowing visitors to trace the footprint of a large recreation venue destroyed during demolition and a fire in 1966.
The ruins are free to visit, but they are not functioning swimming pools. Follow designated paths, respect barriers and stay out of sealed service tunnels. Coastal weather, tides and uneven surfaces affect access, so check current park notices. Plan a separate amount of time for the wider Lands End trails or nearby Sutro Heights.
