This Is the Place Heritage Park interprets Utah's settlement history at the foot of the Wasatch Range near Emigration Canyon.

Historic settings, demonstrations, and programs give physical form to aspects of nineteenth-century community life, while the wider landscape adds context to the journey associated with the site. Different activities shape the experience across the year.
Check current seasonal access, programs, and ticket arrangements before booking. Confirm which buildings and demonstrations are operating, and allow time to consider the perspectives of both arriving settlers and the Indigenous communities of the region.
Visitor details reviewed October 17, 2026. Check [official visitor information](http://thisistheplace.org/) for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
