Uvas Creek Preserve follows a restored creek corridor through Gilroy.

Its public recreation trail links neighborhoods with waterside habitat and opportunities for a walk or cycle ride through the city’s open spaces.
The photograph shows an earlier view of the creek near Miller Avenue. Habitat-improvement work can cause temporary interruptions where construction vehicles cross the trail, so follow signs and flaggers rather than entering work areas. Choose an authorized access point, share the route considerately and leave the creek’s plants and wildlife undisturbed. Check current city and water-district notices before planning a longer journey.
Visitor details reviewed October 25, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
