Waterplace Park brings a river basin, pedestrian routes, and gathering spaces into downtown Providence.

Bridges and waterfront paths make it a useful starting point for exploring the Riverwalk. Its amphitheater and riverside setting also support scheduled performances and WaterFire events.
Check current event dates and city access notices before expecting a performance or river lighting. Ordinary park access differs from event operations, which can change routes and crowd conditions. Use designated paths and accessible approaches, take care near the water, and confirm any separate boat or dining reservation.
