William Trent House preserves an early-eighteenth-century residence associated with the merchant whose name became attached to Trenton.

The site interprets colonial life alongside the histories of Indigenous people, enslaved workers and later residents connected with the property.
Guided visits provide context for the house, collections and grounds, so check the current tour schedule before arriving. Group visits may need advance arrangements. Allow time for the different stories presented here rather than viewing the house only as an architectural survivor; its history reaches beyond the wealthy household for which it was built.
