Wilson Place Mansion in Menomonie traces three generations of a family connected with the city’s founding and lumber industry.

The house changed substantially over time, from William Wilson’s nineteenth-century home to the smaller villa seen today.
The historical society describes guided visits that explain the Wilson, Stout and LaPointe families and the changing house. Contact the museum to confirm tour availability before travelling to 101 Wilson Circle. The photograph shows the actual mansion exterior, not its earlier, much larger form. Interior access follows the museum’s current arrangements; a general history page should not be treated as confirmation of daily opening.
