Tuthill’s curved residential streets lie beside the public park on South Cliff Avenue. The City describes mid-century houses and larger yards; groceries and library services are separate destinations along East 57th and East 49th streets. The park has gardens, disc golf and singletrack trails, but its listed winter facilities do not all operate every season.

Mid-century houses and a separate southeast Sioux Falls apartment option
The City describes Tuthill Park’s residential area as mid-century homes on curved roads with expansive yards. An apartment option elsewhere in southeast Sioux Falls is Oakmont Estates, 1301 East Northstar Lane. Its floor plans include an 840-square-foot one-bedroom and two-bedroom layouts from 1,044 to 1,120 square feet.
Oakmont’s amenities page specifies washers and dryers in select units, alongside patios or balconies, dishwashers, air conditioning and remodeled or traditional interiors. Its home page describes garages connected by a breezeway. Appointments are arranged at 605-667-5123; the leasing office is at Platinum Valley Apartments, 6315 South Connie Avenue, rather than at the Northstar Lane property.

Tuthill’s gardens, singletrack and shelters share the Cliff Avenue park
Tuthill Park is at 3500 South Cliff Avenue. The City lists disc golf, singletrack bike trails, playgrounds, recreation-trail access and the Tuthill House and Garden. Its upper picnic shelter is 40 by 24 feet and its lower shelter is 40 by 20 feet; both are listed as accessible and have electricity. The park page links shelter reservations. Regular park hours are 5 a.m.–10 p.m. daily.
Skating has a separate seasonal notice. On October 22, 2026, the City’s outdoor-rink page said Tuthill Park and Memorial Park would not operate for ice skating this season. It directs skaters to Jacobson Plaza’s refrigerated skate ribbon. The ice rink still appearing in Tuthill’s general amenity list is not an opening schedule.

Hy-Vee’s pharmacy closes earlier than its East 57th Street grocery store
Hy-Vee at Cliff is at 1231 East 57th Street, west of South Cliff Avenue. Regular grocery-store hours are 6 a.m.–11 p.m. daily; the store page lists Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day closures. Online grocery pickup is listed for 7 a.m.–10 p.m. and delivery for 8 a.m.–10 p.m. daily. The store number is 605-271-7171.
The pharmacy’s hours are 8 a.m.–8 p.m. Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Sunday. Its direct number is 605-274-7062. These pharmacy and grocery schedules are separate from the location’s convenience-store and food-department hours.

Ronning Branch has a drive-up window and early-learning playspace
Ronning Branch, 3100 East 49th Street, provides a drive-up window, curbside pickup, a book return, an early-learning playspace, meeting room, faxing and exam proctoring. The branch number is 605-367-8140.
Regular branch hours are 9 a.m.–8 p.m. Monday–Wednesday, 9 a.m.–6 p.m. Thursday–Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Saturday and 1–5 p.m. Sunday. The linked branch page carries temporary closure notices as well as information about Expanded Access.

SAM On Demand has a six-mile ride cap and limits grocery loads
SAM On Demand uses virtual street-corner pickup points across Sioux Falls. Regular citywide service is 5:45 a.m.–9:15 p.m. Monday–Friday and 7:45 a.m.–6:15 p.m. Saturday. Booking is available in the SAM Transit app, its web portal or through 605-460-6256.
An individual On Demand ride has a six-mile limit. The app may propose a bus or a combined journey for a longer trip. For a grocery trip, passengers may bring as many bags as they can carry in one trip, but grocery carts are not allowed in On Demand vehicles. Wheelchair-accessible vehicles are available; the operator’s linked form or phone line handles accessible-service requests.
