Abalone Cove Reserve protects coastal bluffs and habitat in Rancho Palos Verdes.

The open park area provides a place to appreciate the shoreline landscape while ongoing land movement affects access farther down the coast.
Abalone Cove Beach, Sacred Cove Beach and all beach-access trails remain closed until further notice. Plan around the open upper park and check current city trail alerts before arrival. The photograph shows an earlier planted hillside view, not a route presently open to the beach. Respect fences, stay on authorized paths and do not enter closed areas for tide-pool visits.
Visitor details reviewed October 18, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
