Bailly Homestead preserves buildings associated with an early trading family near the Little Calumet River in Porter.

The historic landscape connects regional trade, family life and the complex history of relationships with Indigenous communities.
The photograph shows the homestead’s surviving main house during an earlier visit. Grounds access, building tours and the surrounding Bailly–Chellberg trail system have different arrangements. Check current National Park Service notices for partial trail closures and confirm the route from the designated parking area. A park pass is required; remain on public paths, respect historic structures and verify any interior tour separately.
