Baxter Clock is a four-sided cast-iron street clock in downtown New Bern.

Its distinctive roadside presence recalls the role of clocks, jewelers and small commercial landmarks in the everyday life of an early twentieth-century town center.
Look for the clock during a downtown sidewalk walk and compare its faces and decorative supports from safe pedestrian areas. The photograph shows the clock. Do not enter the roadway, climb the structure or obstruct nearby shops while photographing it. Check local visitor information for walking routes and any temporary maintenance or street closures.
