Black Diamond Mines Regional Preserve
- Nature reserve
- Regional draw
- Antioch
Black Diamond Mines Regional Preserve combines grass-covered hills and woodland with the remains of a former mining landscape near Antioch.

Trails connect natural scenery with evidence of communities that once depended on coal and sand mining. A visit can focus on an outdoor walk or, when offered, a guided underground experience.
Check current park alerts, trail conditions, and mine-tour arrangements before setting out. Underground access requires the appropriate organized program and is not an invitation to enter old workings independently. Carry water, allow for exposed slopes, and respect closures and historic remains throughout the preserve.
Visitor details reviewed October 18, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
