Contra Loma Regional Park combines a reservoir and open East Bay hills with trails and picnic areas near Antioch.
The landscape supports walking and nature observation as well as regulated fishing and boating. Its broad slopes and water views offer several options for an outdoor visit.
Check current alerts before choosing an activity. As reviewed in October 2026, the swim lagoon is closed and part of Lake View Trail is closed at the cattle pond. Golden-mussel controls affect boat inspection and quarantine requirements. Follow designated open routes and current permits rather than assuming unrestricted swimming or launching.
