Bothin Marsh Preserve protects tidal wetland at the north end of Richardson Bay in Mill Valley.

Shoreline pathways connect visitors with views across the marsh and opportunities to observe birds using the Pacific Flyway.
The photograph shows a ruby-crowned kinglet recorded at the preserve during an earlier visit; sightings vary. Keep dogs leashed, remain on roads and designated trails and watch wildlife quietly from a distance. There are no restrooms. Tides, wet weather and muddy ground can change conditions, so check current county notices before travelling and confirm the access point and route suitable for your group.
