The Bay Model Visitor Center presents a large hydraulic model of San Francisco Bay and the Sacramento–San Joaquin Delta in Sausalito.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers uses the preserved facility for public education about a complex water system.
The photograph shows the model during an earlier visit. Public admission is free during listed Tuesday–Saturday opening, with federal-holiday exceptions. Guided groups and technical visits require separate arrangements, and demonstrations depend on the current program. Check the operator’s latest notice before travelling, especially around holiday weekends, and confirm accessibility and any particular educational activity with staff.
Visitor details reviewed October 25, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
