Cole Historic District preserves a small group of early buildings on the east side of the Sheboygan River in Sheboygan Falls.

Greek Revival residences, a mill house and a former hotel reflect the community’s development during the 1830s and 1840s, before its commercial focus shifted across the river.
Use public streets and pedestrian routes to view the buildings and their relationship to the river settlement. The properties have individual uses and are not all open to visitors. Consult the local heritage map for context, respect private entrances and combine an exterior look with a separately planned downtown walk.
