The Durham Museum occupies Omaha's former Union Station, where the grand railway setting introduces a wider history of the region.

Exhibits connect transportation, community life, and changing industries with the development of the American West. The building itself is an important part of the visit, with spaces that recall the scale and ceremony of rail travel.
Allow time for the station architecture as well as the museum displays. Check current traveling exhibitions and visitor arrangements before planning around a particular subject, and choose a few themes for closer attention.
Visitor details reviewed October 17, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
