Exploration Place brings hands-on science learning to the Arkansas River waterfront in Wichita.

Interactive exhibits and live presentations encourage visitors to test ideas and follow questions, with the river setting providing an outdoor change of pace around the museum visit.
Check the current exhibitions and presentation times before arriving, especially if visiting with children of different ages. Some films, events, or special experiences have separate ticket arrangements. Give your group time to repeat favorite activities rather than treating every exhibit as a quick stop, and use the operator's current information when planning your visit.
Visitor details reviewed October 17, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
