Fort Casey Historical State Park preserves coastal-defense batteries and open grounds on Whidbey Island near Coupeville.

The large concrete structures and water views provide a direct sense of the fort’s position overlooking Admiralty Inlet.
Consult current park guidance for parking passes, safe battery exploration and lighthouse arrangements. Historic stairs, dark spaces and exposed edges require care; stay within authorized public areas. The photograph shows one battery structure rather than the entire fort or proof that every chamber and level is open.
