Fort Marcy Park
- Landmark
- Regional draw
- McLean
Fort Marcy preserves Civil War earthworks within a wooded park near McLean.

Walking through the site gives a sense of the defensive landscape built around Washington, with surviving contours and interpretation providing the main historical experience.
Check National Park Service directions carefully, since the vehicle entrance is reached from the northbound George Washington Memorial Parkway. Stay off the fragile earthwork walls. The park has no restrooms or drinking-water facilities. The photograph shows a wooded trail and interpretation within the site rather than a reconstructed fort interior.
