Grotto Rock Park offers a small hillside rock landscape in Berkeley’s Northbrae neighborhood.

Stone steps, natural outcrops and viewpoints give this compact public park a character different from a conventional playground or sports field.
The photograph shows an earlier evening view from the rocks. Climbing and scrambling involve exposed, uneven terrain, and the site’s natural surfaces do not suit every visitor. Choose an activity within your abilities, respect posted rules and avoid disturbing neighboring homes. Check current city notices and opening before travelling, use authorized public approaches and confirm whether the terrain and access meet your group’s needs.
