Holmes-Foster Park provides a wooded neighborhood retreat in State College, with mature trees and open recreation space away from the busiest campus streets.

Its combination of shade and room for informal play makes it a practical stop for a picnic or a relaxed break during a visit to town.
Consult Centre Region Parks and Recreation for current facilities, pavilion reservations and any work affecting the grounds. Organized use of shelters can differ from ordinary park visiting. The photograph shows a tree-lined part of the park in a quieter season; vegetation and the availability of seasonal amenities vary.
