Huntley Meadows Park protects a substantial wetland and woodland landscape in the Groveton area of Fairfax County.

Its established visitor routes offer opportunities to observe habitat and waterbirds amid a heavily developed part of northern Virginia.
Choose a route from the county’s current map and check access or maintenance notices before travelling. The photograph shows the wetland boardwalk during an earlier visit rather than present water levels or guaranteed wildlife sightings. Keep to designated paths and observe posted restrictions that protect sensitive habitat. Visitor-center activities and guided programs may need separate planning or registration.
