George Washington’s Distillery and Gristmill presents reconstructed working facilities associated with Mount Vernon’s agricultural economy.

Located separately from the main estate entrance, it offers a focused destination for exploring milling, production and the labor that sustained Washington’s farms.
Check the current seasonal tour calendar and ticket arrangements before travelling to this satellite site. The photograph shows the gristmill’s machinery during an earlier visit rather than a demonstration running continuously. Allow separate travel time from the main estate and confirm available tours. Tastings or special programs have additional requirements and should not be assumed to accompany an ordinary visit.
Visitor details reviewed October 18, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
