- Old City, Philadelphia
A central historic building within Independence National Historical Park.
Independence Hall is one of the principal historic buildings within Independence National Historical Park. The surrounding park contains several separate sites, including Old City Hall and the Merchants’ Exchange Building. They record different parts of Philadelphia’s civic and commercial history.
The buildings are not one continuous interior visitor attraction. National Park Service information identifies the individual sites and their current visiting arrangements. The larger Old City neighborhood also contains galleries, businesses and residential streets beyond the park’s landmark buildings.
