The Indianapolis Firefighters Museum occupies restored Fire Station No.

2 on Massachusetts Avenue. Historic apparatus, equipment and photographs explain the development of firefighting in central Indiana, while the building retains features of its nineteenth-century firehouse design.
The operator publishes weekday daytime opening and a shorter Saturday schedule from April through October. Confirm the current hours before travelling, especially outside that seasonal Saturday period. The station also serves as union headquarters, and the children’s Survive Alive education program has separate arrangements. The photograph shows the museum’s restored exterior. Allow time for the apparatus and the memorial area outside.
