Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum preserves a grand nineteenth-century house in Norwalk’s Mathews Park.

The Second Empire architecture and richly finished interiors offer a close view of the ambitions and domestic world of wealthy families during the Gilded Age.
The house is shown by guided tour, with current options covering specified rooms and service areas. Book through the museum’s visitor page and check which parts of the building are included before arriving. Allow time for the interpretation of household life and labor as well as the decorative details; the surrounding park can be explored separately.
Visitor details reviewed October 18, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
