Sheffield Island Lighthouse

- Norwalk
Sheffield Island Lighthouse stands on an island off Norwalk, where a visit combines maritime history with a journey through Long Island Sound.

The lighthouse and its island setting provide a different view of the area from the mainland waterfront.
Public lighthouse cruises are seasonal. The operator has finished its 2026 season and currently directs visitors to return in spring 2027, so check the next schedule before planning a trip. Reserve an excursion that explicitly includes an island stop; some sunset or charter cruises do not land. Weather and boat arrangements determine access, and mainland visitor-office directions do not lead to the lighthouse itself.
Visitor details reviewed October 18, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
