Lyndale Park in Minneapolis brings formal gardens, fountains and quieter landscaped areas into the Lake Harriet setting.

Seasonal plantings and paths offer a different experience from the neighboring lake’s water-based recreation.
Use the park board’s current garden and park information to choose an entrance and route. The photograph shows the actual Peace Garden area. Plant displays change through the year, and improvement work can affect individual garden sections. Weddings and other organized uses require separate permits. Plan an outdoor walk around the areas currently open rather than expecting summer flowers, operating fountains or reserved spaces in every season.
