Manhattan Beach Botanical Garden demonstrates drought-tolerant planting in a compact corner of Polliwog Park.

Paths pass through a varied collection suited to Southern California’s climate, offering ideas for water-conscious gardens as well as an enjoyable outdoor stroll. Volunteers help maintain the planting and support educational activities.
The city advertises free admission during daylight opening hours. Use the garden entrance on North Peck Avenue and stay on established paths to protect the beds. Classes and docent-led visits have separate schedules, so arrange those through the garden operator. The wider park’s recreation facilities are separate from the botanical displays.
