Sand Dune Park preserves a steep sandy slope within Manhattan Beach, creating an unusual recreation setting among the surrounding residential streets.

The dune is the defining feature, while the rest of the park offers a different pace from an ordinary beach-front walk.
Check the city’s current reservation and use requirements before planning to exercise on the dune; access is managed separately from a casual park visit. Keep to authorized routes and respect nearby homes. The photograph shows the fenced dune face rather than an unrestricted coastal sand beach.
