Martin Luther King Jr. Civic Center Park is a gathering space in downtown Berkeley beside the city’s civic buildings.

Open lawn, landscaped seating and the World Wall of Peace provide places to pause within a historically significant public setting.
Use the city’s address at 2151 Martin Luther King Jr. Way and check notices for markets or special events. The upper plaza was improved in 2025, so the earlier photograph does not show every current surface or detail. Dogs must be leashed, and organized gatherings may need reservations. Restroom availability differs from general park access. A short visit can focus on the lawn, plaza and community-made artwork.
Visitor details reviewed October 26, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
