Minnesota State Capitol combines working government spaces with significant architecture, art, and public interpretation in Saint Paul.

Designed by Cass Gilbert, the building's dome and restored interiors form a major civic landmark. An exterior view and a guided interior tour offer different ways to understand the site.
Admission is free, with guided tours operating on an advertised schedule. Check current opening, security, holiday, and group-reservation requirements before arriving. The building is currently closed on Sundays. Legislative business can limit room access, and rooftop or special areas should not be assumed included in every tour.
