Monterey State Historic Park brings a collection of historic buildings and gardens into the old town.

Its sites connect California’s Spanish, Mexican and early American periods through domestic, commercial and government settings.
The photograph shows one component of the park, rather than a single entrance to every property. Use the current state-park map and tour schedule to choose a route. Adobe interiors, gardens and public streets have different hours and access rules. This listing covers the linked historic-park experience together; do not assume every building is open on the same day.
