New Windsor Cantonment State Historic Site interprets the Revolutionary War army’s final encampment in New Windsor.

Reconstructed buildings and the surrounding landscape help explain the lives and work of soldiers near the end of the conflict.
Use the state operator’s current schedule to plan demonstrations, tours and other programs. The photograph shows a reconstructed camp building, not a surviving wartime structure. Visitor-center, grounds and special-program access may differ, particularly outside the main season. Stay within authorized public areas and confirm activity availability before travelling for a particular living-history experience.
Visitor details reviewed October 18, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
