Washington’s Headquarters State Historic Site preserves the Hasbrouck House and related grounds in Newburgh.

Its connection with George Washington’s final military headquarters gives visitors a focused place to explore the closing period of the Revolutionary War.
Check the state site’s current opening and tour arrangements before visiting. House tours, museum exhibits and grounds access may follow different schedules. The black-and-white photograph is a historical view rather than a depiction of today’s visitor setup. Allow time for interpretation as well as the setting, and use designated public approaches around the protected buildings.
