Peters Canyon Regional Park offers trails through a varied Orange County landscape of scrub-covered slopes, woodland, and wetland habitat.

Its reservoir landscape provides a focal point, while climbing routes offer a more demanding alternative to lower paths. Hikers, cyclists, and equestrians use the park, so the experience depends on choosing an appropriate shared route.
Check current trail alerts and allow for closures after rain; the county notes that trails may remain closed for several days. Bring water and sun protection. The park and parking lot close at sunset, so plan your return accordingly and use designated parking rather than restricted roadside spaces.
