Republic of the Rio Grande Museum connects the border region's political history with everyday life in nineteenth-century Laredo.

Bilingual interpretation introduces the short-lived republic, while period rooms show household and working environments. The museum occupies a historic building on Zaragoza Street beside San Agustin Plaza.
Check the Webb County Heritage Foundation's current museum hours before visiting, and allow time to read the historical interpretation as well as view the furnished rooms. The museum is on the grounds of La Posada Hotel; use its specific street address rather than the foundation's separate office address.
