Rocky Peak Park protects a rugged open-space landscape in the Santa Susana Mountains between Simi Valley and Chatsworth.

Trails pass through scrub and sandstone terrain, with elevated views rewarding a more demanding walk. The photograph shows Rocky Peak from a nearby rise, one feature within the much larger park.
Choose a route from the current park map and check alerts before setting out. Trails can be steep, rocky, and exposed, so carry water and avoid dangerous heat. Follow posted rules for shared use and parking, stay on designated routes, and leave enough time to return before dark.
