Rowan Oak in Oxford preserves the home and grounds of William Faulkner.

The house, trees and surrounding landscape provide a close connection with the novelist’s working life and the Mississippi setting that informed his fiction.
Check separate arrangements for house admission and grounds access before arriving. The photograph shows the residence. The house currently requires cash admission, while the grounds follow a daylight schedule. Bailey Woods trail conditions and guided or group programs should be checked independently. Respect preserved interiors and do not assume outdoor access includes unsupervised entry to the house.
