San Jacinto Battleground preserves the landscape associated with the decisive 1836 battle in the Texas Revolution.

The towering monument and museum interpret the conflict, its participants, and its lasting consequences, while the surrounding grounds put the commemorative architecture in a wider coastal setting. It is a place for examining history as well as taking in the landmark.
The battleground and museum can have different access arrangements. Check the current monument, observation, and grounds information before traveling, and allow time to walk beyond the principal building in suitable weather.
