Serpentine Barrens Conservation Park
- Nature reserve
- Regional draw
- Travilah
Serpentine Barrens Conservation Park protects an unusual geological and ecological landscape in the Travilah area.

Its soils and woodland habitats give the site a different character from a developed neighborhood recreation park.
Use current Montgomery Parks maps and regulations to identify authorized trails and entrances. Sensitive interior habitat requires particular care, and some activities are limited to perimeter routes. The photograph shows an earlier wooded landscape rather than a guarantee that every clearing is open to visitors. Stay on designated paths, respect adjoining land and leave plants, rocks and other natural material undisturbed.
