Shawnee Mission Park brings a large lake, trails and recreation areas to the landscape shared by Lenexa and Shawnee.

Its size allows visitors to choose a lakeside pause, a trail outing or a visit centered on one of the managed activity areas.
Use the park district map to choose an entrance and check permits, reservations and seasonal operating arrangements for particular activities. The photograph shows a winter lake view rather than a promise of open-water recreation. This listing represents the wider park, whose facilities and entrances span the two neighboring communities.
