Shoshone Falls drops over a broad cliff in the Snake River Canyon near Twin Falls.
Viewing areas provide different perspectives on the rock face and river, making the falls one of the region’s most distinctive natural landmarks.
Water volume changes greatly with snowmelt, irrigation and reservoir management. Fall flows can be minimal, so the photograph’s flowing falls and rainbow should not be taken as a promise of current conditions. Check the city’s latest access and flow information, use designated viewpoints and keep clear of edges. The surrounding park is for day use.
